During my own search for a WordPress directory plugin, I came across the ones below. I have installed and tried all of the free ones. After using some of them, I learned that WordPress isn’t exactly the best platform for building a standalone directory. But, there are some pros to using WordPress as a directory – by using a plugin, it integrates nicely with your blog. And because these are plugins/themes built for WordPress, they are very easy to use if you are already familiar with WordPress.
If you just need a simple directory for your blog, you may be OK using the free plugins below. However, if you’re looking for something more robust, you may want to check out the commercial ones. They offer a lot more features, flexibility and support.
